Other websites which do not relate directly to Hilderstone but which are likely to be of interest are:

Le Coche d’Or website.  The game of boules is often thought of as an activity solely of the French.  This is a misconception.  The game being played by Drake at the time of the Spanish Armada was not bowls are presently played, but boules.  Boules was played in Hilderstone during the last century and there is a boules piste at the Roe Buck.  Le Coche d’Or is a club for boules enthusiasts in Stone, Hilderstone and district.

Staffordshire Community Council provides a website for those interested in community activities in Staffordshire.  It is at www.staffs.org.uk
